I believe dates to the the 3rd quarter 19th century or so

almost like a Japanese washi paper

making an ancient looking creature appear all the more so

is in many ways the beauty of the group

She stands on her own, but is quite top heavy (!) so does require a flat surface or else she might topple. 8 1 4" t x 3 3 4" w x 1 5 8" d and in very good vintage condition, perfectly aged.
