The Battle of Marston Moor Product:Framed picture c1900 (1902)The Battle of Marston Moor, 1644. The North lost to the king. The Parliamentarians under Thomas Fairfax defeated the Royalists at this battle in Yorkshire. Cromwell commanded the Parliamentarian cavalry that defeated the previously invincible Royalist cavalry of Prince Rupert.
