Colterenzio Saint Magdalener Schiava 2024 NO20231101 this 1989 La Chapelle drawsSt. Magdalener is one of the great northern Italian secrets, a hillside red from steep terraced vineyards just above Bolzano in the Sankt Magdalena hamlet. The blend is mostly Schiava (Vernatsch) rounded out with a splash of Lagrein, and the result is pure summer red happiness: pale ruby, perfumed with cherry and violets, light on its feet, and finishing soft and easy.
